Design agency celebrates 30 years of excellence
A multi-discipline agency specialising in branding and marketing communications is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
PHd Design was launched in 1992, by founder Peter Howard from the back room of his parents ' house. Peter 's innovative and no-nonsense approach to business, combined with his design skills, meant that clients loved working with PHd Design time and time again.
In 1999 PHd Design was also the first graphic design company in the UK to design a 330ml drinks packaging with pre-distortion as built in - to allow proportionate printing onto a shrink sleeve.
In the 30 years that have followed, PHd Design has gone from strength to strength - completing over 11,000 projects for more than 1,900 happy clients and winning a number of awards for their designs.
The most notable award received from 'Design Week' ranks PHd Design in the 'Top 100' design consultancies in the UK - making them one of the top 0.1 per cent of designers in the UK, and the only agency in Staffordshire to have achieved this honour.
Peter Howard, managing director of PHd Design said: “Who would have thought that 30 years on I would have taken PHd from a drawing board and blind faith that it could be done, to one of the UK 's top 100 ranked creative agencies.
“There have been some lows in those 30 years, but I have met some amazing people, worked for a massive range of clients and industries and have now got a team around me who are better than me in so many ways ”
