Designer outlet expansion to create 500 new jobs
McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands in Cannock is to create around 500 new jobs through its ambitious expansion plans.
The shopping park plans to increase its retail offering from 75 to 100 stores, alongside a new street food and dining area, as part of a multimillion-pound extension.
The 200,000 sq ft site, which currently employs around 1,200 people, expects its workforce to grow by almost 50% by 2027.
McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands opened in 2021 as part of the UK’s network of McArthurGlen Designer Outlets, which operate outlet centres across Europe and North America.
The site features a mix of fashion, sportswear, and lifestyle brands, including Calvin Klein, Nike, Boss, and Tommy Hilfiger, and is designed to combine shopping with leisure, dining, and family-friendly experiences.
It has already increased annual visitor numbers from three million to four million, with projections to reach five million in the next four years.
