An ambitious development agency team in Birmingham is going from strength to strength after two years of impressive growth.

Fisher German’s development team, based at its Colmore Row office, is marking two years of rapid expansion, growing from having one full-time fee earner to a thriving four-strong department supporting landowners and developers across the Midlands.

The team was founded when Arthur Morgan joined the business in late 2023 to build a new development agency presence in the West Midlands.

Now, with associate Max Fellows, graduate surveyor Seb Mehjoo, and newest recruit Henry Merton all on board, Fisher German’s offer in the region is stronger than ever.

In that time, the team has overseen a number of sale and acquisitions of land with planning permission.

2025 has been a particularly busy year on the Strategic Land front following the significant changes made by the Labour Government to the National Planning Policy which created opportunity for freeholders with greenbelt land.

Arthur said the growth reflects both market demand and the firm’s commitment to building a high-calibre team in the city.

“What we’ve created in Birmingham over the last two years is something I’m incredibly proud of, and we remain focused on continuing the growth and increasing market share,” he said.

“The residential sales market has been challenging during that time, but that’s why our clients appreciate our clear guidance and a team that genuinely enjoys working together and achieving strong results for clients. Watching the team take shape and build a strong client base has been hugely rewarding.”

Arthur’s arrival in 2023 brought significant development agency expertise into the business, building on his career at Savills and Cushman & Wakefield.

Momentum increased in June 2024 with the appointment of associate Max Fellows, who joined from JLL, bringing extensive insight into strategic development agreements and commercial negotiation.

Graduate surveyor Seb Mehjoo followed in September 2025, further boosting the team’s capacity, and surveyor Henry Morton joined in November 2025 from Bruton Knowles, attracted by the strong trajectory of the new Birmingham team and Fisher German’s growing national reputation.

The Birmingham office has quickly become an important hub within the firm’s wider agency network, supporting landowners through the planning system, advising on strategic land transactions, and helping housebuilders secure opportunities across the Midlands.

Rob Champion, divisional managing partner for Agency at Fisher German, said the success of the Birmingham team is a significant achievement for the firm.

He said: “Arthur has shown real drive in establishing and growing the development agency offer in Birmingham. What the team has achieved in such a short time is impressive.

“There’s a real energy and ambition in the department, and it’s exciting to see the positive impact they’re already having across the Midlands.”

With a strengthened team and a growing pipeline, Arthur believes the next phase will be defined by deeper market reach and continued client success.

He added: “We’ve laid the foundations. Now it’s about building meaningful market share across the region and continuing to deliver the best advice in what remains a complex and evolving landscape.”
