A Future Faces member returned to his former school to share his career journey with students.

Ben Robertson (pictured), digital marketing manager at Paragon Bank, was invited to speak at his former school in West Wales as part of its GCSE celebrations.

Ben spoke about how his career began with early business experiences in London, as well as a private MI6 tour that sparked his interest in marketing.

He went on to secure a role as digital marketing manager at Paragon Bank, which eventually led to him being named Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year in the Marketing, Sales and Communications category.

He encouraged students to embrace opportunities, try new things, and reminded them that it is perfectly fine not to have their future fully planned.

Ben said: “It was an incredible experience. I was once in their position, listening to a former pupil speak, and I never thought I’d be the one standing at the front eleven years later. It felt surreal.

“I’ve benefitted greatly from people and professional networks such as Future Faces, and from opportunities that have supported me through different stages of my career. Speaking to students at the very start of theirs felt like the right way to pass it on.”
