Digital prospectus brings student opportunities to life
Prospective BMet students are now able to browse what is on offer to them at the college virtually, via a new interactive digital prospectus.
The launch of the prospectus coincides with Birmingham Tech Week, a festival of digital, technology and innovation across Birmingham, of which BMet is a sponsor.
The new digital prospectus, uses eye catching and engaging effects including 360-degree view experiences and innovative imagery, to give users a unique insight into BMet 's variety of specialisms and college life.
Content includes short videos from students and teaching staff extolling the benefits of student life at BMet and the world of opportunities that studying at one of the three colleges brings.
A key feature of the prospectus is the interactive career focused 'Launch your career quiz ', which gives a personalised journey into suitable employment routes - all linked to the characteristics of an animal.
The digital prospectus will soon be mobile via a Virtual Reality Careers Training and Apprenticeship robot. School pupils from across the city will have the chance to immerse themselves in the world of VR; where the prospectus career quiz will be gamified.
Pat Carvalho, BMet principal and chief executive, said: “We are so pleased to be able to showcase our diverse range of specialisms via our new interactive digital prospectus, launched to coincide with Birmingham Tech Week. ”
“We believe that engaging young people right at the beginning of their career exploration is vitally important. Via our new prospectus and VR tech, that we plan to use in schools, we will be able to immerse them in their own personal journey to help them find a career that suits their personality, strengths and interests. ”
BMet 's popular courses including business, dental, engineering, performing arts, media and games, sports and science, which will all be effectively brought to life through the digital prospectus.
