Directory to help firms gain foothold in sports economy

A new digital directory to help companies take advantage of opportunities in the sports economy has been launched by the Department for International Trade.

As part of the DIT 's efforts to support businesses in the sports economy sector and staff overseas to respond to direct enquiries concerning potential UK suppliers, the directory will be used to host basic information about UK companies.

Entry in the directory will give firms the chance to be profiled alongside other peers in the sector and help increase their exposure in international markets at no.

The directory will be used by DIT staff both in the UK and overseas to identify potential UK suppliers for specific enquiries and to promote UK capability to international buyers, decision makers, influencers, and companies within the sports economy sector.

Teams in the DIT 's priority markets overseas will also use it in their engagement with organising committees and other key stakeholders involved in delivering major sports events.

The deadline to apply to be included in the directory is 13 April.

Applications will then be reviewed and successful applicants will be sent an invitation to complete their profile.
