‘Discreet’ solution launched to support men's health in washrooms
Medicare, specialists in washroom, hygiene, and clinical Waste Solutions has announced the launch of discreet disposal bins, an innovative solution designed to enhance men's health and hygiene in public washrooms.
Committed to providing comprehensive washroom services, the new bins will aid in the proper disposal of men’s incontinence products.
Incontinence is more common among men than many realise, yet it remains a topic rarely addressed in public settings. Without appropriate disposal options, men may face embarrassment and discomfort, potentially turning a simple trip to the restroom into a stressful experience.
Moreover, improper disposal, such as flushing pads down the toilet, can lead to significant plumbing issues. This gap in service not only affects customer satisfaction but also poses operational challenges for businesses.
The new specialised bins provide a private, hygienic solution for disposing of incontinence products, helping men manage their health with dignity and ease. The bins are sleek, discreet, and serviced regularly, ensuring that washrooms remain spotless and hygienic.
By addressing this often-neglected need, businesses can show genuine care for all their customers, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
Ian Gibson (pictured), head of sales at Medicare, said: “We understand that men’s health issues are not often discussed, but they are very real for many.
“Our goal with the discreet disposal bins is to provide a practical solution that enhances comfort and cleanliness in men’s washrooms, while also supporting businesses in creating a more inclusive space.”
Members of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce are offered special rates for upgrading their washroom facilities.
