Distance learning provider celebrates record breaking month
Open Study College, a leader in the distance learning sector, is celebrating its 18th anniversary with the unveiling of a brand new, digital transformation initiative.
This strategic milestone showcases the online college’s commitment to accessible education and its remarkable journey of sustained growth and continued success in an increasingly competitive industry.
Founded in 2007 as a family business, Open Study College has evolved into a leading global distance learning provider, boasting over 140,000 enrolled learners, with an impressive seven-figure annual turnover.
This milestone comes as Open Study College completes a significant two-year digital transformation, investing heavily in its development team and embarking on a highly collaborative quest to build a bespoke online platform, Ohana.
The unique, custom-built system, named after the Hawaiian word for ‘family’, supports the business’ rapid growth, enhancing tutor and learner experiences and engagement.
Ohana is the latest product to launch as part of a wider strategic initiative and supplements the company’s new e-commerce platform which went live last year and heavy investment into its CRM system.
As the business reaches its 18th year of operation, it sets its sights on further developing and enhancing its offering, keeping the customer at the heart of future plans in a dynamically changing technological landscape.
September was a record-breaking month and saw Open Study College's biggest intake in the history of the company, a testament to the learning provider's continuous improvement and hard work of its dedicated team.
Samantha Rutter-Bryant, CEO at Open Study College, commented: “Beyond the celebration of our 18-year legacy, we are particularly proud of our digital transformation and the part our team has to play in our success this year. In preparation to scale even further, we have made substantial investments in our team and technological infrastructure, securing our future growth trajectory.
“It’s been a particularly challenging year economically, with many providers struggling, not just in our industry but across many sectors. Our team has worked incredibly hard and is so dedicated to the overall success of the business. We’re so incredibly proud to announce a record-breaking September, and this milestone achievement motivates us even more to achieve our future ambitions.
“We plan to invest heavily in our operating model, making sure that every touchpoint is genuinely valuable as we are committed to making sure our students' learning journey is a success.”
