Donations urged to aid charity campaign ahead of World Cancer Day

A business aiming to raise £100,000 for Cancer Research UK is urging for donations ahead of World Cancer Day, on 4 February.

DP Building Systems is urging supporters to donate to its fundraising efforts, by purchasing its exclusive charging cables.

The firm is selling its USB 5-in-1 Fast Charger Cable for £9.99 with a donation of £1 to Cancer Research UK.

But in a bid to support the charity support the charity through February, donations have increased to £2.50 for every cable sold.

In addition to simultaneous device charging, the 5-in-1 USB Data Transfer Fast Charger Cable also offers the ability to transfer photos, data and videos from multiple devices, retailing at £19.99 with a donation of £5 to Cancer Research UK.

With packaging designed in partnership with Cancer Research UK and featuring the charity 's bright and identifiable brand colours, DP Building Systems say that the two products feature highly innovative charging capabilities and connectivity for Android, iPhone, Google Pixel and other mobile devices.

Customers can also donate to the 'Name A Cable ' campaign in honour of a friend or family member.

All names submitted will be selected at random and added to the product packaging for every thousand items produced by DP Building Solutions.

Rob White, commercial director of DP Building Systems, said: “ Over the years, family and friends of DP Building Systems have been affected by cancer, and that is why we have decided to support Cancer Research UK. We hope that the campaign will generate additional donations to the charity at a critical time. ”
