East Staffordshire Borough Council adopts new corporate plan
The East Staffordshire Borough Council has adopted a refreshed Corporate Plan, which outlines how the Council will deliver and build upon its many services and how it will support residents over the next 12 months.
The refreshed Corporate Plan illustrates the achievements from the past 12 months, and details how East Staffordshire Borough Council will continue to deliver its corporate priorities over the forthcoming year.
The 2026/27 Corporate Plan outlines East Staffordshire Borough Council’s five overarching corporate priorities:
- Improving Local Democracy
- Creating a Prosperous East Staffordshire
- Developing a Green New Deal for East Staffordshire
- Protecting our Heritage
- Standing up for our Communities
Cllr Michael Fitzpatrick (pictured), leader of the council, said: “I am glad to see the refreshed Corporate Plan be approved for the year ahead.
“This updated plan aims to show our residents, partners and staff, the Council’s intentions during 2026/27. The last year has seen the Council deliver a number of initiatives services with aims of creating a prosperous East Staffordshire.
“This past year saw major progress delivered on regeneration work in Burton and Uttoxeter, including a modular EV charging point and refurbished toilets; resident engagement through a citizens jury to help management of open spaces; cost of living support through food subscription and debt advice services; and the second Sonic Boom music festival which has become highly recognised nationally.”
The approved 2026/27 Corporate Plan will commence from 1 April and is available to view on the Council’s website.
