Electrical contractors expand and secure major contract
Electrical contractors, Solihull Sparky Ltd, has made three new hires amid a major new contract win.
Jon Stobbart, Henry Thompson and Louise Mitchell have joined the business, which provides an array of electrical services and installations for a number of domestic and commercial clients.
Jon has joined Solihull Sparky's new Trade Monkeys department as a joiner and general tradesman.
He was previously employed as a kitchen and bathroom fitter and carpenter.
Henry has been hired as a fully qualified electrician. He has a qualification in property maintenance.
Although, Louise has been quietly supporting Solihull Sparky boss Tristan Mitchell with invoicing for a number of years, as the business has grown so has the demand of her time.
She has joined Solihull Sparky as financial director.
On top of the new hires, Solihull Sparky has also secured a £300,000 project to refurbish a care home into a number of units in Cornwall.
The project includes both building works as well as fire alarm and electrics. Solihull Sparky expects to complete the project in August.
Managing director and founder Tristan Mitchell said: “We started pushing hard for growth before the pandemic, I 'm so proud of our team, who have worked tirelessly to keep us moving forward in these hard times. ”
Solihull Sparky are looking to hire three apprentices to make the team 12 strong.
Tristan added: “I am excited with these new starters in place and the new ones yet to be filled we will not only reach our growth targets but exceed them. It will also to allow the business to increase its customer satisfaction."
