Employee health benefits provider to launch in West Midlands
Workplace GP, an employee benefits provider designed for SMEs, will soon be launching in the West Midlands.
The firm will offer affordable corporate health plans that help businesses give their teams access to online GPs, trained counsellors, specialist consultants and clinician-led health education.
Its mission is to enable every employer to offer a health plan for their team, whatever the size of their business.
Ahead of a planned national rollout in 2027, Workplace GP is looking for forward-thinking businesses across the West Midlands to become early adopters and help shape the service.
Ben Flanagan, founder of Workplace GP, said: “We believe the size of your employer should never determine your access to private healthcare. Smaller businesses want to look after their people, but often lack the time and resources to navigate a complicated benefits market.
“Our aim is to make that easier, bringing services together in one platform so employees know where to start and where they can turn if they need further support.”
Workplace GP works with established providers, including Doctor Care Anywhere for online GP consultations and PAM Wellness for its Employee Assistance Programme. Its clinician-led masterclasses help employees understand common health concerns and make informed decisions about their wellbeing.
The West Midlands focus builds on existing relationships with clinicians across the region and a partnership with Birmingham-based healthcare platform Get Well Soon, founded by consultant surgeon Mr Simon Radley.
Through Get Well Soon, members can access an established network of specialist clinicians across the West Midlands, providing a route to further assessment and advice when needed. The network includes clinicians practising at hospitals in Birmingham and Worcestershire.
Ben added: “The West Midlands is a natural starting point because we already have relationships with clinicians here. We want to build on those connections and work with local businesses to make healthcare support easier to access and easier to use.”
