Enoch Evans solicitor walks 26 miles for Alzheimer’s charity
A Future Faces member has walked 26 miles with her dad and brother to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society UK.
Katherine Carter, solicitor at Enoch Evans took on the Trek26 challenge in London after her grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
She was inspired by her dad completing the Trek26 in the Peak District in 2025 and felt like it was the perfect way to honour her grandad.
Katherine (pictured) said: “The day itself was a great experience. The route took us past some of London’s Landmarks and was a very well organised event; although it did get tough after 30km!
“Despite the sore feet, we kept going due to the incredible atmosphere and support from the volunteers and organisers the whole way round.
This is the kind of support that reflects the importance of the Alzheimer’s Society’s work.”
She added: “My grandad was diagnosed a few years ago and watching him deteriorate was incredibly difficult for my family.
“This made me feel strongly that no one should have to suffer in the same way, and that families need more support to cope with the impact.”
