EV expert seeks 10 local van operators for survey into going electric
Tamworth based salary sacrifice ev car expert Fleet Evolution is looking to carry out feasibility studies with 10 local companies on moving to electric vans.
The study will be completely free and will make use of telematics, overlay charge point maps and load information along with real world range information that Fleet Evolution has built up from it's decades experience of electric.
This information will then allow local suppliers to receive a report highlighting if the time could be right to move some or all of their operation to electric, considering additional developments such as clean air zones.
Fleet Evolution have already electrified van fleets for a number of companies including a 40 vehicle van fleet in Kent, but want to produce a definitive guide for businesses in or local to Birmingham where the introduction of a Clean Air zone has had a major impact on operating costs.
Andrew Leech (pictured) from Fleet Evolution said: “While we've been electrifying employees for a decade we recognise this is only part of the picture for transport.
“With rising fuel costs, clean air charging, increased electric van ranges and lower electric van costs we feel many businesses could make the move to electric vans but are put off by capital costs and range. We're looking to work free of charge with a number of local companies to sanity check transport demands and whether electric could be viable”
