An initiative co-founded by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce president Andy Dawson is set to bring together leaders from sport, business and public service later this month.

Wit + Grit Live – created by Andy and BBC Radio WM presenter PJ Ellis – promises to explore resilience at work, confidence, leadership behaviour and the human skills that matter most in an uncertain world.

The pair say inspiration for the event at Millennium Point on 30 January comes from recurring conversations in their Wit + Grit podcast.

Wit + Grit Live will feature powerful talks and honest conversation with “moments to pause and reset”.

Alongside speaker sessions and panel discussions, the day will include guided breathwork from I Am Yogi and music-led mindfulness from Future Faces ambassador Will Crawford of Quietnote.

Wit + Grit Live is backed by regional partners Aston University, Higgs LLP, Bishop Fleming and MAN Commercial Protection.

PJ Ellis said: “Wit + Grit Live exists because of what we kept hearing, from leaders, young professionals and business owners alike.

“People are carrying a lot right now. This isn’t about hustle or hype. It’s about creating space for real conversations, practical tools, and a reset that helps people leave feeling better than when they arrived.”

Wit + Grit Live is expected to welcome 200 attendees from across the West Midlands business community.
