A brand new one-day transformational event has been launched in Burton with the aim of helping people break free from the beliefs that hold them back, reconnect with who they truly are, and move forward with greater confidence, resilience and purpose.

‘The Empowered Mind’ has been created by Claire Reeves, emotional wellbeing & neurodiversity specialist and vice president of Burton & District Chamber of Commerce and Olivia Beardsmore, experiential empowerment coach.

It will take place on Sunday, 11 October from 9.30 am to 4 pm at Branston Golf & Country Club.

The event combines powerful psychological insight with immersive breakthrough experiences to create a day that is both deeply reflective and life changing.

In a world where many people feel overwhelmed by stress, self-doubt and constant pressure, The Empowered Mind focuses on one of the most important life skills of all: building everyday resilience.

Throughout the day, participants will discover how childhood experiences, limiting beliefs and unconscious patterns can shape the way they see themselves and the choices they make. Through engaging demonstrations, guided visualisations and practical exercises, they will begin to understand why they become stuck in unhelpful patterns and, more importantly, how to change them.

Claire will draw on psychology, counselling, coaching and neuroscience to help participants uncover the beliefs that have been quietly influencing their confidence, relationships, careers and wellbeing.

The day encourages people to reconnect with their authentic selves, identify their core values and recognise strengths they may have forgotten they possess.

Olivia will lead two experiential activities that symbolise personal transformation. Participants will first take part in an arrow break, physically breaking an arrow while letting go of a limiting belief that has held them back.

Later in the day, they will complete a glass walk, stepping forward with courage, self-belief and a renewed commitment to living a life that aligns with who they truly are.

Claire Reeves said: “So many people are living according to beliefs they formed years ago without ever questioning whether they're true.

“We want people to leave this event knowing themselves better, trusting themselves more and feeling empowered to make choices that genuinely reflect who they are.

“Resilience isn't about never struggling - it's about having the confidence and self-awareness to keep moving forward when life gets difficult."
