Event production firm helps deliver immersive audio-visual concert at Royal Albert Hall
An international creative and event production company from Burton delivered the rigging and power infrastructure for a live production by acclaimed electronic music artist Max Cooper at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Scorpion Production Group, whose headquarters are at Barton Under Needwood, worked alongside Architecture Social Club, an award-winning multidisciplinary art studio.
Known for his immersive audio-visual performances and technically ambitious productions, Max Cooper’s shows combine music, projection, lighting, and visual art to create a truly unique audience experience.
Delivering this type of production within one of the UK’s most iconic and prestigious venues required detailed planning, technical expertise, and precise execution areas where Scorpion Production Group’s team excelled.
The project saw Scorpion Production Group take responsibility for the complete power distribution infrastructure across all technical areas of the performance.
This included the safe and reliable delivery of power for the show’s lighting systems, projection equipment, lasers, and control systems. With multiple departments and technologies working simultaneously throughout the production, ensuring a stable and well-managed power network was absolutely critical.
Working within the Royal Albert Hall also brought logistical and technical considerations.
As a Grade I listed venue with complex rigging and operational requirements, every element of the installation had to be carefully coordinated and delivered to the highest professional standards.
The result was a visually striking and technically seamless live production that complemented Max Cooper’s signature style and helped create a memorable experience for the audience inside the Royal Albert Hall.
Edd Stanton, director of Scorpion, said: “Working on a production of this scale and complexity at the Royal Albert Hall was a fantastic opportunity for our team.
“Collaborating with Architecture Social Club on such a technically creative project allowed us to demonstrate our expertise in power infrastructure and rigging within a challenging and prestigious environment.
“We’re extremely proud of the result and the professionalism shown by everyone involved.”
