Event shines light on Armed Forces work with young people
West Midlands Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (WM RFCA) will be discussing how the Navy, Army and RAF can offer youth and community groups, during a webinar taking place tomorrow.
The virtual event, starting from 11am on 9 February, will include talks from organisations which have worked with the Armed Forces, and the positive impact this has had.
Other speakers at the event will also discuss the work the Armed Forces has already done with youth and community groups across the West Midlands.
WM RFCA say that investing in young people is now vital, in order to empower youths and develop their leadership skills, mental fortitude and test their resilience.
Defence and Armed Forces organisations, such as the WM RFCA, provide mentoring, coaching, sport and practical events to engage young people from a variety of backgrounds.
Siamha Butt (pictured), head of engagement at WM RFCA, said: “This is a great opportunity for youth leaders and community groups to join us on what will be a great event and hear directly from youth leaders and the Armed Forces as to the benefits of working with the Military to enhance the skills of our youth. ”
Youth and community groups are being invited to attend the WM RFCA 's event, in order to hear from the organisation on what they can do to support young people.
