A virtual event is being hosted to help businesses understand new regulations around marking their products for the UK and EU markets.

The event - hosted by the Chamber 's international support team Innovate UK Edge - takes place on 8 April.

Following the end of the Brexit transition period on 1 January, products being placed on the market - domestically or in the EU - will need to follow new regulations to ensure their products confirm to health, safety and environmental standards.

Businesses must now use the UKCA mark if trading within the UK, the UKNI mark if selling to Northern Ireland or continue to use the CE mark when selling abroad to the European Union.

This mark confirms that the product conforms to health, safety and environmental standards.

These new regulations will affect any company currently trading, whether they are selling goods online or otherwise.

Guest speaker at the event is Stephen Kimber (pictured) from Conformance Limited, a CE marking specialist.

The event will help businesses understand exactly how to use each marking and when.
