Businesses are being invited to find out more about the UK 's most significant rail-led logistics development, which is being built in South Staffordshire.

The West Midlands Interchange will provide up to eight million sq ft of flexible premium logistics facilities.

A free event is being held for businesses to meet the developers, have an exclusive first look at plans and find out about upcoming supply chain opportunities.

The vision for West Midlands Interchange (WMI) is built around a changing logistics world - and the changing needs of the businesses that work within it.

The largest site of its kind in the UK - and one of the biggest in Europe - WMI will deliver leading logistics warehousing within a rail freight interchange.

Creating 8,500 jobs, supporting the local community with two new county parks covering 109 acres, WMI will lay sustainable foundations for the future of the logistics sector by replacing road freight with rail - in turn, producing 70 per cent less carbon dioxide.

The breakfast event on Tuesday 1 November at Codsall Community Hub will be presented by developers and construction partners behind the development, Logistics Capital Partners and Winvic as well as Cllr Roger Lees, leader of South Staffordshire County Council and Cllr Philip White, deputy leader and Cabinet Member for Economy & Skills at Staffordshire County Council.
