The Wine Events Company have announced that they will be the official events partner for Birmingham Wine Weekend again for this year 's festival, spanning a full seven days for the first time between the 4-10 April.

The event is described as a week of wine discovery, exploring Birmingham one glass at a time. Spanning 28 venues across the city, each venue has set out to share two different wines that showcase the quality of their wine list at a very friendly price of £5 per glass to festival wine pass holders, offering a significant discount on the normal selling price.

As well as the 28 venues, there are also 17 different events taking place from Wine Walks around the Jewellery Quarter to a Wine Dinner Gameshow, there 's something for everyone.

Tony Elvin (pictured), co-owner of The Wine Events Company and president of Solihull Chamber of Commerce, said: "We are so pleased to welcome back Birmingham Wine Weekend this year, especially as a week long celebration of wine. Lockdown beat us two years ago so we 're making up for lost time this year."

Due to the popularity of the events, some have sold out already but there are still plenty of options available across the week, starting with 'Taste like a Pro ' on Monday night at the Canal House where Tony will be helping festival goers unlock their palates for a week of tasting ahead. This event features eight different wines where attendees will discover the impact food, climate and production methods can have on the grape juice in your glass.

Then on Thursday night, The Wine Events Company are hosting an event in collaboration with fellow Chamber members Chapter restaurant in Edgbaston where guests will enjoy a three course dinner with paired wines where they will team up to guess the wine they are tasting from three different but equally compelling descriptions. The evening is hosted by Tony Elvin 's eccentric alter ego, Phil Quimby.

Birmingham Wine Weekend E-Tickets are available for just £10 per person.
