Families flock to Kineton Green Primary School ahead of open evening with new principal
Kineton Green Primary School, part of the Summit Learning Trust has welcomed a new principal, Mr Neil Kitching, this term.
Mr Kitching has previously served as headteacher at another local school and has worked across the West Midlands in a range of leadership roles. He has received a warm welcome from Kineton Green families, reinforcing the school’s reputation as a safe, happy, and inspiring place for learning.
At the heart of the school are its five key values, known as the “5 Bees”: being safe and healthy, confident, trustworthy and honest, a lifelong learner, and respectful. These values are embedded in everything the school does, helping children to reach their full potential both academically and personally, a standard the school affectionately calls “the bees’ knees.”
Mr Kitching has said that the school will focus on happiness as the foundation for success and creating an environment where every child feels valued, empowered, and ready to thrive.
He continued: "I am delighted to join the Kineton Green community and to be part of such a welcoming and inspiring school. Our focus is on ensuring every child feels safe, happy, and valued, so they can thrive both academically and personally. I look forward to working with families and staff to build on the school’s strengths and to continue celebrating achievement and growth at Kineton Green."
Kineton Green Primary School celebrated a remarkable improvement in this year’s SATS results. Across all subjects, there was a significant rise in attainment, with approximately 20 per cent more children achieving the expected standard in Reading, Writing, and Maths compared to last year. These impressive outcomes mean that Kineton Green’s results are now above or broadly in line with national averages in every area.
SATs provide a key measure of academic progress, highlight areas where additional support may be needed, and help evaluate school performance, contributing to national education data. The outstanding achievements this year reflect the dedication of both staff and learners across Summit Learning Trust.
Kineton Green Primary School is holding an open event on Monday, 20 of October at 6pm and one on Tuesday, 21 of October at 9.10am, to book your place please call 0121 464 4293.
