FareShare Midlands runners raise £4,160 at Nottingham half marathon

14 runners from FareShare Midlands took part in the Robin Hood half marathon and mini marathon to support the charity’s work.  

The event which took place in Nottingham saw the runners cover an impressive 183.4 miles and raise £4,160 to support FareShare Midlands’ work getting surplus food to communities across the Midlands.

The money raised will help the charity continue its work tackling food waste and supporting charities and community organisations that provide food to people who need it.

Simone Connolly, chief executive of FareShare Midlands, said: “Our 14 runners covered 183.4 miles and raised £4,160 for FareShare Midlands, and we could not be prouder of every one of them. Their commitment and determination has helped raise vital funds to support our work across the Midlands.”

Businesses can get involved in many different ways, from sponsoring a runner or entering a team to fundraising with their staff or partnering with FareShare Midlands on future events.
