Field to Fork to save local lives with Arrive Alive
The newly opened restaurant and farm shop Field to Fork has partnered with lifesaving charity Arrive Alive.
Arrive Alive is Britain’s only registered charity of its kind and was founded by a Midlands mother following her daughters near death experience.
Field to Fork is a one of a kind business within Wootton Wawen. It boasts a restaurant, farm shop featuring Eric Lyons along with even stocking a vast range of Diddly Squat products.
Field to Fork is also the first to install a publicly accessible defibrillator and bleed kit in the local area, as a result of the partnership with Arrive Alive.
Mark Cox, director of Field to Fork, said: “Working closely with the team at Arrive Alive is a pleasure.
“On behalf of not only everyone at Field to Fork but also the community of Wootton Wawen and surrounding areas I would like to say a massive thank you for the donation of the defibrillator and bleed kit we have now fitted at our site from Arrive Alive.
“Unfortunately it’s a fact that without immediate treatment to someone who suffers a cardiac arrest the survival rate is very very low and this can happen to anyone at anytime no matter their age, gender or ethnicity.
“Therefore there is no time to waste so having the defibrillator installed on our premises was a no brainer and something we are grateful to have in place.”
Arrive Alive’s mission of saving lives within communities is paramount to the work that the team carry out all year round.
With the installation of a publicly accessible defibrillator and bleed kit being situated at Field to Fork, it can also be accessed by members of the public following a 999 call to West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Debbie Roscoe, founder of Arrive Alive, said: “For every defibrillator that becomes operational is possibly another life saved, it will massively benefit the staff, customers and local community to Field to Fork as they have the safety net of lifesaving resources 24-7.
“Arrive Alive will also be launching its twelfth vehicle in the next few weeks, its official hand over will be held at Field to Fork details will be posted on social media for anyone that would like to see and support the latest addition to the lifesaving Arrive Alive fleet.”
