Former winners of the Outstanding Charity of the Year award, Adoption Focus, commented on what winning last year 's award meant for the profile of their organisation.
Anna Sharky (pictured), CEO at Adoption Focus, said: “In 2020, Adoption Focus was honoured to be chosen as the Solihull Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Charity of the Year. Our application highlighted the incredible efforts of our staff, trustees and amazing adopters to continue to provide vital services for vulnerable children at the most challenging of times.
“Winning the award has helped us to raise our profile and increased awareness of the important work we do in placing children with secure, loving families. The endorsement of our credibility as a charity has been beneficial in funding applications and has enabled us to initiate conversations with potential new corporate partners.
“We would encourage other local charities and businesses to apply to the Solihull Chamber awards. It has put a spotlight on the work we do, increased our impact in the local community and enabled us to develop longstanding relationships with many other local organisations, to collaborate and champion each other. ”
Dual winners of last year 's Small Business of the Year and overall Business of the Year awards, Digital Innovators, also recalled the impact of their win.
Mick Westman, founder and CEO of Digital Innovators, said: "Winning not one, but two awards at the Solihull Chamber of Commerce Awards 2020 was a momentus achievement for the Digital Innovators team. After such a challenging year, during which our team, students and partners had to completely adapt the way we work, winning these awards highlighted the impact of the work we do.
“Not only this, but having these prestigious titles awarded to our organisation has facilitated the development of relationships and partnerships which have increased our reach and advanced the work we do with young people in the region."
