Today is the final day in which interested candidates can apply for one of four seats on the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce 's Chamber Council.

Chamber Council is responsible for steering the work of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce 's Policy team, and meets on a quarterly basis to discuss the latest national and regional political developments, vote on priority themes, and engage in constructive dialogue regarding key Chamber Policy campaigns.

The deadline is today at 5pm. Applications received after this time will not be accepted.

Henrietta Brealey, chief executive officer of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said: “This is a brilliant opportunity for business leaders from across Birmingham to get stuck in with key issues affecting businesses, forge new connections and build their profiles across the Greater Birmingham business community.

“I am thoroughly looking forward to seeing this year 's applicants and working closely with those who are successfully elected to make this the best place to start, grow and move a business. ”

Deb Leary OBE, president of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said: “Business needs a voice and as such I would encourage people from every sector, from every corner of Birmingham and from every background to apply to be that voice.

“After a difficult two years, in which businesses have dealt with a pandemic, soaring inflation and post-Brexit headwinds, there has never been a more important time to contribute to the Chamber 's policy and campaigning activity. ”
