A public policy unit manager at NatWest has been announced as the final speaker of Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce’s Quarterly Business Report launch.

Morwenna Byford will join Pam Sheemar and Rob Horsfall during the event, taking place at Birmingham City University on Thursday, 22 October from 9am to 11am.

Morwenna’s team combines customer insight, policy analysis and long-term foresight to identify emerging risks and opportunities, shape evidence-based positions, and connect public policy to commercial reality.

As the GBCC flagship economic publication, the Quarterly Business Report is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the city-region.

Underpinning the report is data gathered from quarterly surveys completed by businesses from across the Greater Birmingham area.

The Quarterly Business Report event is delivered in partnership with Chamber patron Birmingham City University.

Delegates in attendance will have the opportunity to receive a copy of the report and watch a detailed presentation of the results and wider trends, followed by an expert panel discussion on investments trends.

This panel will be chaired by Raj Kandola, deputy CEO at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.

Raj said: “Morwenna brings a strong understanding of how wider economic trends translate into the challenges businesses face on the ground, and I’m delighted she’ll be joining us for our Q3 Quarterly Business Report launch.

“Her experience in customer insight and market intelligence will bring an important perspective to the discussion, particularly as businesses continue to navigate uncertainty and make decisions around investment, growth and their future plans.”
