Find out how to win business as part of Games supply chain
Representatives from several companies supplying the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will discuss available business opportunities at a webinar hosted by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce next week.
In partnership with Birmingham 2022, the Chamber is hosting the webinar on Wednesday 12 January (8am) which will connect local businesses with those who have already won contracts from the Games ' organising committee.
This weekend marks 200 days until the start of the Games and as the event edges closer the Chamber is helping to highlight some of the supplier opportunities.
Guest speakers confirmed are:
- David Tunnicliffe - GL Events UK
- Joely Sockett and Craig Brinsden - Arena Group
- Giles Stanford - CSM Live
- Thomas Taylor - Outdoor digital productions ltd (adi.tv)
- Euan Faulds - Birmingham Ceremonies Ltd
The event is designed to identify what Games-related supplier and sub-supplier opportunities are available, as well as providing local businesses with an understanding on how they can secure contracts with suppliers, and what specifically they are looking for in terms of support.
These opportunities include operations, tech, production, site infrastructure, personnel and more.
Birmingham 2022 chief financial officer David Grady (pictured) will introduce the event before suppliers are given the chance to speak about who they are, what contracts they have with the Games, what they 'll be delivering, what support they require from suppliers, how suppliers can get in contact and timeframe for expressions of interest.
A Q&A will follow each presentation, along with a general Q&A at the end of the event.
