Fintech and financial planning event returns to Birmingham
The CISI and Next Gen Planners has announced the return of CHANGEFEST - the event to inform and encourage young people into financial planning and Fintech careers.
Following fantastic feedback from both planners and young attendees last year, the two organisations are collaborating on three events this year at Leeds on 10 October, Birmingham on 17 October and Bristol on 7 November.
Further information and booking links for the above events can also be accessed here.
Sally Plant, CISI assistant director, financial planning and education development said: “It is well documented and discussed that the planning profession is in dire need of more planners, paraplanners and professionals to ensure that it does not become a service for the wealthy.
“I am so proud that this collaboration demonstrates our organisations not just discussing but taking the lead and doing something to promote this fantastic career.
“This facilitates our members, peers and the profession allowing them to give a few hours of their time to inform and tangibly make a difference. To create a friendly open environment for planners to talk, informally to young people about their experiences is so valuable.”
Adam Owen, director and head of content, NextGen Planners said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with CISI again to bring CHANGEFEST back in 2023.
“The new regional format will enable us to work with more universities and connect more students and career changers with established personal finance professionals.”
Chris Ronan (pictured), investment manager at EFG Harris Allday, said: “The CISI and Next Gen Planners CHANGEFEST event offers a great opportunity for young people to find more information about a career in financial services.
“This is a highly rewarding industry where no two days are the same but all are focussed around helping clients.
“At EFG Harris Allday we have strong relationships with our clients, built on trust and the bespoke service we offer; supporting generations of clients.
“Financial services have a strong presence and history in Birmingham and this event will be a great opportunity for professionals to share their experience whilst learning from the next generation.”
