Firm awarded for commitment to staff

A Birmingham-based family business has been recognised for its commitment to making the workplace better for its staff.

Sabre Jetting Services Ltd specialises in hydrodemolition - which means they use high-pressured water jetting guns to cut concrete for road maintenance, bridge repair and industrial tank cleaning.

Sabre 's work is essential to keeping the country 's infrastructure operational, as well as enabling vital emergency services to reach locations where they are most needed.

The company, which has been trading for more than 36 years, has been accredited with an Investors in People Gold Award.

Being part of a niche market, Sabre has always recognised the importance of retaining staff and put large emphasis on employees and working practices.

The firm 's journey towards Investors in People recognition started in 2005 and continued to improve over the past 16 years.

Sabre initially awarded Standard status to then move onto Bronze and Silver before receiving Gold accreditation.
