Businesses will be able to provide feedback on the launch of Birmingham 's Clean Air Zone at a Chamber webinar next week.

The zone officially launched on 1 June and Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce worked with Birmingham City Council to help prepare firms for its introduction.

Now, six weeks after the launch, businesses are being invited to provide feedback on the zone and the challenges and opportunities it has presented.

Keynote speaker is Councillor Waseem Zaffar (pictured), cabinet member for Transport & Environment at Birmingham City Council, while there will also be a Q&A session which gives firms the chance to have any specific queries answered by the Clean Air Zone Team at the council.

Raj Kandola, head of policy at the Chamber, said: “The Birmingham Clean Air Zone has been live for over a month and this webinar offers businesses the perfect opportunity to share their initial experiences of the CAZ with Birmingham City Council.

“In particular, the webinar will give the Council a platform to find out more about the opportunities and challenges that have arisen for businesses since the Zone went live.

“We know that businesses have an important role to play in reducing air pollution levels across the city and I would urge businesses to attend that would like to find out more about the support mechanisms in place to help those firms that have been impacted. ”
