Firms urged to bid for key Games contracts
Businesses are being invited to tender for several new Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games contracts - including the chance to manufacture the all-important prize medals.
The Birmingham 2022 Organising Committee is looking to appoint a supplier to produce prize pedals, ribbons and presentation boxes, as well as commemorative medals and commemorative medal boxes.
The committee says it intends to award the contract to a single supplier, although subcontracting will be permitted.

Meanwhile, three catering contracts are up for grabs at Commonwealth Games venues.
Victoria Park in Leamington will host the law bowls and para lawn bowls.

St Nicholas Park in Warwick, where the cycling road race will take place, is also looking for a caterer (closing date 26 April) - more details here.
And a caterer is also being sought for Cannock Chase, host venue for the mountain bike competition.

A creative partner is also being sought to develop a festival brand strategy and identity for the Games.
The value of the contract could be worth between £100,000 and £500,000.
