FitLeader Collective launches new podcast for ambitious women

A new Birmingham-based podcast designed to explore the realities of leadership, fitness, wellbeing and ambition for women has officially launched.

The FitLeader Podcast, created by The FitLeader Collective founder Charlotte Tweddell (pictured), shares honest conversations with high-performing women who are navigating careers, business, fitness, leadership, and personal growth.

The podcast is built around the philosophy behind The FitLeader Collective - that fitness and leadership develop the same core skills: discipline, resilience, confidence, and self-leadership.

Each episode explores the real stories behind successful women’s journeys, moving beyond curated “highlight reels” to discuss the practical realities of aligning ambition, wellbeing, and personal identity.

Listeners will hear conversations around maintaining energy while leading demanding careers and businesses, creating alignment between fitness, work, and life, building confidence and resilience, managing pressure and avoiding burnout, and the role of self-leadership in both business and wellbeing.

Charlotte Tweddell, founder of The FitLeader Collective, said: “I wanted to create a space where ambitious women could hear honest conversations about what leadership and success really look like behind the scenes.

“Too often women feel they need to choose between career success and personal wellbeing, but I believe the skills developed through fitness and self-leadership can strengthen every area of life and business.”

The FitLeader Collective was launched earlier this year to support ambitious women in creating alignment between their health, mindset, leadership, and professional performance through coaching, events, and community initiatives.

The first episode of The FitLeader Podcast launching today features Emma Land, who Charlotte describes as ‘a true FitLeader’.

Emma has built an extensive property portfolio and is an investor, developer, landlord, and owner and director of an independent lettings agency.

Alongside building her business interests, she has also worked within the NHS for more than 30 years.

In addition to her professional career, Emma has appeared on the cover of Women’s Health magazine, worked as a fitness model and brand ambassador, and competed in multiple fitness and endurance events.

Her achievements include winning Miss Galaxy Universe Body Transformation, as well as more recently competing in Hyrox events and triathlons.

Charlotte continued: “Emma perfectly represents the FitLeader philosophy because she demonstrates how the skills developed through fitness — discipline, resilience, consistency, and self-leadership — can transfer powerfully into business and life.

“Her story is incredibly inspiring, Emma shares how when she improved her health and fitness her career simultaneously took off and she moved from basic grade Radiographer all the way up to Superintendent.”

The podcast forms part of the wider FitLeader movement, which encourages women to become “Fit to Lead and Fit for Life.”

The episode was recorded at Birmingham-based podcast studio Global Sound Unit in Digbeth, supporting collaboration with emerging local creative businesses within the city.

Charlotte added: “Birmingham has such a strong entrepreneurial and creative community, so I was delighted when Global Sound Unit approached me to record there.

The podcast is about creating conversations that help women feel empowered to lead themselves and their lives with greater clarity, confidence, and alignment.”

The FitLeader Podcast is now available on Spotify.
