Flexi-Apprenticeship provider set to have biggest year yet
Digital Innovators is set to begin the biggest year yet of their Digital Skills Programme. With a projected 1200 learners across six colleges in the West Midlands, up from just 382 in 2022, the programme continues to see incredible growth.
Much of this growth can be attributed to the Department of Education awarding Digital Innovators the title of Flexi-Job Apprenticeship Agency in March of 2023. This allows Digital Innovators to connect bright young people with career-changing apprenticeships, with employers such as BNP Paribas.
An independent report by City-REDI in March 2023 reported that for every £1 spent on the programme, £3.59 is generated in the local economy. Digital Innovators hopes to further provide value to the region, by partnering with SME's across the West Midlands looking for innovative young talent.
Digital Innovators aims to give young people who are either currently studying at college, unemployed or not receiving formal education, life-changing career opportunities. Their mission is to 'rebalance the employment landscape, by providing young people most at risk of exclusion with an alternative career pathway to employers who are desperate to find talent that they can trust'.
Speaking on the success of the programme, founder and CEO Mick Westman said: “It's fantastic to see so many students starting our Transition to Work Programme this year from across the West Midlands.
“Today more than ever, young people need our help in preparing for work and gaining the necessary skills, such as confidence and reliability, that help them to stand out in the employment market. We hope to provide employers future talent that they can rely on, and support them by providing quality apprenticeships.”
