Free taster activity sessions at official opening of Lichfield Leisure Centre

Residents and families are invited to enjoy a wide range of free taster activity sessions at the official opening of the brand-new Lichfield Leisure Centre this Friday (9 January).

Located on Curborough Road, the new centre offers state-of-the-art sport and fitness facilities, including a 25-metre swimming pool, indoor cycling studio, fully equipped gym, community room, 3G football pitches, a programme of fitness classes, and an outdoor play area.

As part of the opening celebrations, visitors are welcome to arrive from 1pm and take part in a full afternoon and evening of free activities designed for all ages and abilities.

Councillor Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for Leisure and Major Projects, said: “We are thrilled to deliver this fantastic new leisure centre for the district which will benefit residents for many years to come.  

“The official opening on Friday 9 January is a great opportunity for people to come along from 1pm, try something new, and experience everything the centre has to offer.

“Whether you’re completely new to exercise or returning after a break, there’s something for everyone, so we’d encourage people to come along and get involved.”
