Free tennis services return to Cannock
A tennis coaching charity will start to offer its free services again in Cannock, in May.
Tennis For Free (TFF) has confirmed that it will return to Cannock Park on 2 May.
TTF is a registered charity, set up in 2004 to address the barriers for participation in tennis and encourage participation in sport.
TFF provides free coach led group tennis sessions and free usage of equipment.
The TFF sessions are delivered by Cheslyn Hay and Cannock Chase Community Tennis Club and held every Sunday between 10am and 11am at Hednesford Park and 11:30am and 12:30pm at Cannock Park.
The sessions are open to anyone over 12 years old only, due to current Covid-19 safety requirements.
Mike Edmonds, head of Environment and Healthy Lifestyles at Cannock Chase Council, said: “The Tennis For Free sessions have been a great success in the District and we 're delighted that following the changes to Government guidelines they are able to start up again, albeit with restrictions.
“The council is committed to helping residents have healthier lifestyles and these sessions will encourage people to visit the park and participate in tennis.
“Places are limited due to Covid-19 restrictions, so please ensure that you book, don 't just turn up. ”
