Free webinar launched to explore renewable energy opportunities in India
Global trade platform Grow Beyond Borders (GBB) is hosting a free webinar next week to explore renewable energy opportunities across India, one of the world's fastest-growing markets.
The webinar, happening on Monday 5 October from 9.30 am to 10.30 am, has been organised in partnership with Invest India.
It will bring Aanchal Singh, manager at Invest India, and Mayank Shah, CEO & Co-founder of Grow Beyond Borders, for a focused discussion on India's clean-energy transition and the practical steps international businesses need to consider when entering the market.
The 45-minute discussion will cover India's renewable energy landscape and the priorities shaping the market and explore opportunities for SMEs across solar and PV manufacturing, wind energy, energy storage, green hydrogen, e-mobility and EV infrastructure. It will also discuss what international businesses should understand about market entry, policy and partnerships.
The session will close with a 15-minute live Q&A, giving attendees the chance to put questions directly to the speakers.
Mayank Shah (pictured) said: “India's energy landscape has undergone a remarkable transition, with the nation achieving an unprecedented 50% of its installed electricity capacity from non-fossil fuel sources by July 2025 - five years ahead of its 2030 commitment under the Paris Agreement.
“As the world repositions itself towards sustainability, India's renewable sector has unleashed extraordinary growth opportunities, positioning the country as a global leader in clean energy adoption.
“With the India-UK Free Trade Agreement in place, this webinar offers a great opportunity for UK businesses to identify opportunities to invest or partner across the renewable energy sector in India.”
India's renewable energy sector is expanding rapidly across solar, wind, energy storage, green hydrogen, e-mobility and the wider clean-energy supply chain, creating opportunities not only for technology providers but also for businesses offering specialist expertise, services and supply-chain capability.
The webinar is aimed at companies exploring opportunities in India, renewable energy and clean-technology businesses, manufacturers and specialist suppliers, professional services firms supporting the energy sector, and trade advisers and sector organisations.
