Free workshops launched to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn ideas into businesses
Cannock Chase Council and Stafford Borough Council are inviting aspiring entrepreneurs to take their first steps into business through a series of free Start Smart workshops.
Designed for people considering self-employment or developing an idea for a new product or service, the programme will help participants build their confidence and gain the practical skills needed to move their plans forward.
Each programme runs over four sessions, led by experienced business support officers. Topics include setting business foundations, marketing and sales, understanding customers, basic accountancy, funding and finance, and regulatory requirements.
Richard Brooks, head of Cannock Chase Chamber of Commerce, said: “We welcome initiatives like this that give people the confidence and practical support to turn a business idea into something real.
“Supporting businesses at this early stage helps nurture talent and stimulate small business growth across Cannock Chase. Having someone to guide you through those first steps can make a real difference, and we look forward to seeing these businesses up and running and becoming part of our local business community.”
