Freeths named official legal partner at European edition of South by Southwest

Leading law firm Freeths has been named as an official legal partner for the debut European edition of South by Southwest (SXSW) London 2025, from 2 to 7 June.

With a 40-year legacy in Austin, Texas, SXSW brings together the creative, technology and business sectors.

This year, more than 500 innovative thought leaders, business leaders and celebrities have been confirmed to attend the six-day festival.

This is the first time this globally renowned event has travelled to Europe, with London as the chosen city.

This extension of SXSW will take place in 28 venues across Shoreditch and is anticipated to welcome tens of thousands of attendees.

As an official legal partner, top 50 firm Freeths will use its legal expertise to offer a legal lens at the event.

The firm will host a drop-in legal lab in the Truman Brewery, so business owners and private clients can discuss their legal queries with a team of expert lawyers.

Freeths’ Partner William Richmond Coggan will be kicking off the activities on the Monday as he discusses Frontier Technologies at 10am on Truman Stage One.

Partner Iona Silverman will also take to the stage on June 2 to lead a panel on the importance of Climate and Sustainability.

Freeths’ legal lab will be located at stand 37 in the Truman Brewery from Monday, 2 June until Thursday, 5 June.
