Future Faces celebrates business community champions during GBYPY awards
Future Faces, the young professionals arm of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce has recognised two individuals for their contributions to the network and wider business community at the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards.
Paul Faulkner, vice chairman of the Midlands for Barclays was awarded the President’s Award by Sarah Griffiths for his leadership and dedication to the business community.
Prabjot Ragbotra, sales and events manager at Mitchells and Butlers was awarded the Future Faces Ambassador Award for her standout impact and community involvement.
Paul Faulkner said: “It was a lovely surprise to be recognised by Sarah with her President’s Award. I had absolutely no idea or expectation and was totally shocked when she started to read out who was the recipient!”
“The recognition was particularly meaningful, serving as a reminder that contributions made to support others are valued.
“You certainly don’t give support or help in order to receive awards, but it’s a very nice memento and piece of recognition when it comes.”
Prabjot Ragbotra said: “Future Faces has given me the opportunity to meet people from different industries across Birmingham, build relationships and get involved in conversations outside of my day-to-day role.
“The biggest thing it's given me, though, is some of the friendships I've made along the way, as well as the platform to explore things I'm passionate about, particularly diversity and inclusion.
“I've always tried to get the most out of being part of Future Faces, but also to encourage other people to do the same or at least give it a go once. Knowing that this has been recognised is something I'm grateful for.”
