Future Faces leads Chamber walking group in Birmingham Pride parade
Future Faces, the young professionals arm of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, led a walking group at the Birmingham Pride Festival at the weekend.
The Chamber walking group was organised by Future Faces committee, while professional services firm Forvis Mazars hosted Chamber members at its new offices in Chamberlain Square ahead of the parade.
Future Faces Chamber of Commerce vice-president Nadia Johnstone-Smith (pictured) said: “Birmingham Pride represents equality, visibility, and justice.
“It is a privilege to celebrate and champion the diversity of our local community while embracing love in all its forms.
“Having been involved with Birmingham Pride for many years, I am continually inspired by the positivity, warmth, and sense of solidarity shared by everyone in the march.
“Pride has always been rooted in protest, and as the future leaders of this city, we have a responsibility to show up and actively support a more inclusive Birmingham.
“Future Faces is proud to be a diverse, inclusive, and supportive network for young professionals, embracing everyone to be their true self, and we hope this culture extends across Birmingham’s business community - not just during Pride, but every day of the year.”
Daniella Campbell, manager and chartered financial planner at Forvis Mazars, said: “Birmingham Pride is a powerful celebration of diversity, inclusion and the vibrant communities that make our city what it is.
“At Forvis Mazars, we were proud to be playing our part by bringing people together ahead of the parade, hosting a pre-Pride breakfast that creates space for connection, support and shared purpose.
“Events like this are incredibly important and as a business community, we have a vital role to play in championing equality and fostering environments where people can thrive.”
