Future Faces member nominated for national positive role model award
A Future Faces member has been nominated for the positive role model award for disability at the National Diversity Awards.
Nadia Johnstone-Smith (pictured), financial planner at Partners Wealth Management is living with a rare degenerative muscle wasting disease and is a volunteer advocate for the Birmingham Disability Festival.
Nadia is also a Society of Later Life advisor and is a Court of Protection West Midlands committee member.
The National Diversity Awards is the UK’s most prestigious diversity event celebrates the excellent achievements of grass-root communities that tackle the issues in today’s society, providing them with recognition for their dedication and hard work.
Nadia said: “I feel so honoured to be recognised as a nominee as a positive disabled role model.
“I hope that by sharing my journey and career whilst living with a disability I can encourage others to continue to follow their dreams and know that a diagnosis does not stop you from having a bright and successful future.”
