Future Faces promotes mental health through free mindfulness event
Future Faces Chamber of Commerce (FF) is offering all GBCC members free attendance to their Music in Mindfulness event as they aim to support young professionals with their mental health.
The Music in Mindfulness event is taking place on Thursday 27 January from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at The Night Owl bar in Birmingham.
The event will be led by Will Crawford (pictured), FF committee member and founder of quietnote - a business committed to promoting the power of music on mindfulness and well-being.
During the workshop, attendees will gain a better understanding of meditation through the power of music, experimenting with mindful breathing techniques, active listening exercises and group music making.
These activities will explore how we can unwind, manage stress and anxiety and develop a strong understanding of our own state of mind and happiness.
Jodie-Lee Perks, manager of Future Faces said: “We are delighted to kick off the year to promote good mental health by offering this event to not only Future Faces members, but to members of the wider Chamber family and its divisions.
“Will, our host, is an executive committee member whose passion for mindfulness is infectious.
“Getting stuck in with this opportunity to better our mental health, be creative with music and instruments, and network will be a triple threat to the January blues we all need. ”
The event is free for all members of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce members.
