Garrick to host creative writing open mic night

Lichfield Garrick is set to transform into a haven for wordsmiths and poetry enthusiasts as it hosts its inaugural creative writing open mic night.

As part of the theatre’s 20th birthday celebrations, the Tuesday 9 January event promises to be a night of literary delight.

The Garrick is joining forces with Word Perfect Creative Writing, a local creative writing group led by the esteemed Joss Musgrove Knibb.

Starting at 6.30 pm, with readings from 7pm in the Green Room Bar, the event kicks off with captivating recitations of work by the talented members of the Word Perfect Creative Writing group.

The highlight of the night is the open mic session, where anyone with a passion for poetry, fiction, or drama is invited to share their artistic creations with the audience.

The open mic slots, each lasting five minutes, will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.
