Up-and-coming GB Boxing star Elise Glynn now has extra support in her corner after recruiting a local employment specialist to bolster her training.

Pertemps Recruitment Network, based in Meriden, has agreed to financially support the 23-year-old as she looks ahead and trains for the Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games.

Elise has had no fewer than five tournament wins in the last year and, most recently, she won gold at the second World Boxing Cup event, in Colorado, USA.

She is currently number one podium position for GB Boxing – making her their top pick in her weight category of 60kg.

The money from Pertemps will go towards supporting the costs of kit, travel, food and additional dietary supplements.

Elise said: “I am delighted to be working with Pertemps again and can’t thank them enough for their support.

“It’s a tough sport, and an expensive one, so their backing is vital for me to keep training as I am and look ahead to the Commonwealth Games and Olympics.”

Elise, based in Hockley Heath, Warwickshire, has a record of 73 wins out of 88 fights. She has been boxing since she was 13 and was previously supported by Pertemps in 2016.

Pertemps head of Sponsorship, Tim Jones, said: “We worked with Elise a few years ago and are delighted to be getting into the ring with her again.”
