GBSLEP announces 'Better your Business ' event
The annual Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) event for partners and businesses will be taking place on 17 November, from 10am to 4pm in the STEAMhouse on Cardigan Street.
GBSLEP 's 'Better your Business ' event will feature keynote speakers, masterclasses and opportunities to network and connect with other businesses. GBSLEP's Growth Hub business specialists will also be available all day to answer questions and offer guidance. I
This year's keynote speaker is Michelin-Star chef and restaurateur Glynn Purnell. Glynn has been cooking professionally since the age of 14. After working with renowned chefs globally, he launched his first restaurant in Birmingham in 2003.
Over the last 20 years, Glynn has successfully grown his business whilst becoming a household name. Glynn will share his business journey to date, highlighting how he has managed the impact of major challenges in the hospitality industry such as the Covid-19 pandemic, upskilling, inflation and rising energy costs.
Joining Glynn for this one-day event will also be a line-up of business support specialists from GBSLEP 's Growth Hub and digital marketing and SEO experts Ian Lockwood and Paul Ince.
GBSLEP Growth Hub's Access to Finance team, Vernon Hogg and Davies Okeowo are running a session on how to raise finance and how to protect your brand/product via their intellectual property supported.
There will also be an opportunity to hear the latest skills development programmes offered through GBSLEP's Skills Service. The masterclasses are free to attend.
Over refreshments and lunch, there will be a chance to network and connect with businesses from across the region. There will be over 100 businesses in the room to foster new relationships and links within the STEAMHouse building.
Tours will also be available throughout the day to explore STEAMHouse - a new innovation space for students and businesses to spark new ideas and create new products.
