Global Chamber welcomes delegation from Malaysia
Greater Birmingham Global Chamber of Commerce gave a “great insight” into benefits of international business when they entertained a delegation of Malaysian business leaders.
The visitors were in the UK as guests of Aston University, in collaboration with the Aston University Alumni Association of Malaysia and the Women Leadership Foundation, and they undertook an extensive leadership programme called 'Unlocking Future Proof Leaders'.
The participants engaged directly with members of the Global team, who provided a comprehensive overview of their international operations and Birmingham's strategic role in the global economy.
Datuk Hafsah Hashim, chairperson of the Women Leadership Foundation, said: “The visit provided the delegates with the opportunity to understand how global perspectives form a core part of the local government agenda."
Dr Elinor Vettraino, director of Aston's Centre for Enterprise, coaching and innovation, and the programme director, said: “We have built on the pilot programme hosted in October last year and one of the key changes has been the link with the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and particularly the Global division who have given a great insight into the benefits and challenges of internationalisation for businesses.”
