Global ecommerce markets in spotlight as part of new campaign

Global ecommerce markets will be in the spotlight this month, as part of a campaign being hosted by the Department for International Trade and the Midlands Engine.

Throughout July, DiT will be hosting a series of virtual workshops focusing on the key skills needed to make exporting via the web a success.

The ecommerce, otherwise known as buying and selling goods via the internet, has exploded in the last decade, seen via the rise of ecommerce only businesses such as Amazon, Gymshark and Alibaba.

The events will feature country experts, which will provide an introduction to some of the world 's biggest ecommerce markets in China, the US, Japan, South Korea and India.

Interactive webinars, as part of the campaign, will also focus on key skills needed to start exporting online, including utilising international pay per click, Google Ads, a one stop shop VAT return, LinkedIn and creating an ecommerce export plan.

Experts attending events will include those from the UK India Business Council, Fairling, SocialB, DiT Brazil and DiT South Korea.
