Golf tournament raises £18,000 for local charities

A charity golf tournament organised by a Lichfield based accountancy firm and a Birmingham jewellery store has raised £18,071 for St Giles Hospice and Help Harry Help Others.

The Harry Giles Charity Golf Tournament was organised by The Boss Partnership and Steven Charles Quance Jewellers where two teams from either side competed against each other.

The Boss Partnership’s managing director Logan Khan represented St Giles Hospice, and Steve Quance's team represented Help Harry Help Others.

The overall result across both days finished as a draw, meaning proceeds from the tournament will be split evenly between the two charities.

St Giles Hospice provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care to patients and families across Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Walsall and the surrounding areas, free of charge.

Help Harry Help Others was set up in memory of Harry Moseley. Inspired by Harry and his family's experience, the charity supports people affected by cancer across Birmingham, covering many aspects of the cancer journey.

Logan Khan said: "Eighteen thousand pounds split between two charities that do vital work in the community. Thanks to everyone who turned up, played their round, and put their hand in their pocket.

“Thank you to everyone who donated prizes and gave up their time to help organise it. This is what happens when the local business community gets behind something together.”
