Greek restaurant opens in Birmingham city centre building
Cylla, a new restaurant designed to invoke the beauty and elegance of the Greek Islands, has opened in Bruntwood SciTech’s Cornwall Building at Birmingham’s Colmore Business District.
Cylla draws inspiration from the Greek sea monster Scylla, providing a unique dining experience which celebrates the harmony of sea and land and delivers elegant fine dining alongside the warmth of Greek hospitality.
Its menu features a sophisticated approach to Mediterranean dining, with classics such as Lamb Kleftiko, Beef Stifado, Moussaka, Greek salad, Tzatziki, and fresh homemade pitta bread.
Cylla’s drinks offering is also a key part of the experience, complete with a diverse selection of premium Greek wines and handpicked European labels.
Guests can also opt for a variety of expert Mediterranean-inspired cocktails, featuring ingredients like mastiha, and traditional Greek spirits to perfectly complement the culinary offerings.
The restaurant’s beautiful interior design has been thoughtfully crafted with subtle references to Greek architecture to facilitate a sophisticated and glamourous atmosphere perfect for intimate dinners, celebrations and special occasions.
Cornwall Buildings is part of Bruntwood SciTech’s thriving tech and digital cluster in Birmingham, alongside Cornerblock, Centre City, Mclaren, Innovation Birmingham and Birmingham Health Innovation Campus which are all in the process or have recently also completed major refurbishments.
Adonis Maniadakis, general manager of Cylla, said: “I’m thrilled to be opening Cylla, and to be able to share my Greek heritage with the city of Birmingham.
“We want to deliver a really unique experience to our guests, which transports them to the shores of the Greek Islands.
“Cylla is an elevated take on traditional Greek cuisine - we’ve created a touch of glamour whilst retaining the authentic flavours and warmth of Greek hospitality.
“We can’t wait to welcome the first guests through our doors at the Cornwall Buildings - see you soon!”
Matt Pazos, retail commercial manager for Bruntwood SciTech added: “Cylla makes a fantastic addition to the historical Cornwall Buildings - a space steeped in heritage and charm - as well as being a real coup for Birmingham’s culinary scene.
“We look forward to seeing Cylla make its mark in the bustling Colmore Business District over the coming months with its innovative approach to fine dining.”
